In image below, notice the top right search box (1) and the left search box (2). You can enter your search term in either.
Use the left search box if a Topic you frequent often is not on the top layer of the Topic list. Type the Topic title in the search box. Click on it when the search suggestion box offers it as an option. The Topic will then open for you.
You can narrow by specifying the search to look only in particular Topics, or by only considering certain types of data (file, note, email, etc). See below.
Click into a particular Topic, then enter a search term. Below the Topic selected is 'Lab Management', and the search term is 'warm room.'
By using the filter you can choose to consider only certain types of data (file, note, email, etc) or some combination. The filter below is allowing only files and notes (but no emails or articles) to appear in the search results. Note that although the example below shows a search in the main directory or 'Group' topic, filters can be used when searching through a particular Topic, as well.
To narrow the search further, include additional words that the search criteria must fulfill.
